MILFORD, Mass. — Heading to the polls in force Tuesday, voters backed a ban on recreational marijuana shops and grow and testing facilities in town. The Milford Daily News reports the referendum, with 56.3 percent of voters supporting the prohibition, came less than a year after a majority of Milford voters supported legalizing the drug in a statewide election. Donna Niro, chairwoman of Milford Community Against Recreational Marijuana Retail Establishments (CARES), said the results indicate voters are concerned with what local marijuana shops could mean for underage drug users and Milford’s reputation. “This is very positive and I think...

The Massachusetts marijuana law is getting a rewrite. The state has actually two marijuana laws — approved by voters — that Statehouse lawmakers revised, largely behind closed doors. This is an introduction to the man who is really changing the J game and giving the audience an insight into some...

To say there’s been a dramatic shift in sentiment toward marijuana over the past decade is an understatement. In just one decade, the American public went from opposing the legalization of marijuana by a margin of three to one to favoring its legalization by nearly a three-to-two margin, according to statistics from research firm Gallup. What’s fueled this sudden surge in marijuana interest among the public? I’d opine it’s been a mixture of the need for states to collect tax revenue to narrow budget deficits and the visibility of the positive effects of medical marijuana coming to light....

    February 8, 2015

Today only 4 percent of Alzheimer’s patients are 65 or younger, but as the baby boomer generation ages that number will dramatically increase. c Scientists have made ground breaking discoveries in early detection of the disease but this does little for baby boomers who are working with older brains. Of the major deadly diseases in America, Alzheimer’s is the only illness that doctors have no way of slowing its progression, have no exact treatment that has had proven results, or a cure for the disease. When treating the disease doctors have to consider the age of the patient’s brain, according...
